Additionally, Illinois Tech students gain hands-on learning experiences through Elevate, a university-wide program boosting students' career possibilities through guaranteed internships and research opportunities as well as customized career plans. Both undergraduate and graduate students can find opportunities to conduct research on campus with a professor, or at nearby laboratories including Argonne National Laboratory and Fermilab. The department offers courses in Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Wellness which you can apply toward various AA, AS, or Certificate programs. It will house facilities for general education classrooms, science classrooms, science labs, offices, student support services and ancillary functions. The Science and Wellness Department at South Campus is housed within building 66 a state-of-the-art science building located at 7200 Pines Boulevard in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The Science Building will encompass approximately 52,000 Square Feet on 2 floors. The college’s faculty and students engage in a wide variety of research-oriented programs. This project consists of a new two story LEED Silver science building and a new chiller plant. The minimum number of semester credit hours required for the degree, including Core Curriculum requirements, is 120, at least 39 of which need to be at the upper-division level. Students will learn to use the latest technologies in state-of-the-art facilities, giving them the knowledge and experience they. The Construction Science and Management degree combines courses in construction science, design and business to educate managers for the construction industry. Our academic programs are grounded in rigor and relevance, providing students special preparation to succeed in fields that require exceptional application of knowledge. The Associate in Science in Building Construction Technology is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to obtain employment in the highly competitive fields of architecture and construction management.
